These General Terms and Conditions govern the details of the booking and implementation of the study programs and certificate courses offered by the Scheer School of Digital Sciences at Saarland University gGmbH, which can be viewed in detail on the homepage of the Scheer School of Digital Sciences at Saarland University gGmbH(https:\/\/www.scheer-school.com\/unsere-programme\/)<\/a>(hereinafter also referred to as “training and further education offer”). Deviating general terms and conditions are not recognized unless they are expressly approved by the Scheer School of Digital Sciences at Saarland University gGmbH. In particular, there is no recognition of deviating general terms and conditions even if reference is made to them and the Scheer School of Digital Sciences at Saarland University gGmbH has not expressly objected to them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

  1. Organizer and participants<\/li><\/ol>

    1.1 Organizer<\/p>

    The organizer of the training and further education offer within the meaning of these General Terms and Conditions is the<\/p>

    registered in the commercial register of Saarbr\u00fccken Local Court under HRB 110624.<\/p>

    1.2 Participants<\/p>

    Participants within the meaning of these General Terms and Conditions are those natural persons who take part in the training and further education offered by the organizer. However, for the purposes of these General Terms and Conditions, participants in this sense also include those natural or legal persons, partnerships or other legal entities in whose name or for whose account participation in the training and further education program takes place. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    1. Registration, conclusion of contract and admission requirements<\/li><\/ol>

      2.1 Registration<\/p>

      Registration is possible via the online forms provided on the organizer’s homepage (<\/span><\/span>https:\/\/www.scheer-school.com\/<\/span><\/span><\/a>), as well as by contacting the organizer personally. Registrations are binding and will be considered in the order in which they are received. The number of participants in the training and further education program is limited to the number of persons indicated in each case. If more registrations are received than there are places available, a waiting list will be kept and the participant concerned will be informed immediately. Any right of withdrawal on the part of the participant remains unaffected. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      2.2 Conclusion of contract<\/p>

      In the case of registration via the organizer’s online forms, the participant will receive an email confirming receipt of their registration. The confirmation of receipt is sent immediately after the registration has been sent and does not constitute acceptance of the contract, but merely documents that the registration has been received by the organizer. A contract for participation in the training and further education offer is only concluded by a separate confirmation of registration by the organizer or by the provision of learning materials. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      2.3 Multi-part events<\/p>

      One registration is valid for one person for one event or series of events (<\/span>provided that<\/span> booked as such). It is not possible to split participation between several people. Cohort registrations are also expressly possible, but these only take place via personal contact. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      2.4 Admission and enrollment requirements<\/p>

      In order to participate in the training and further education offer, the respective applicable admission requirements must be observed, which will be made available to the participant by the organizer on request. If the training and further education course is an accredited course of study, participation requires enrolment at Saarland University. Enrolment requires the fulfillment of the admission requirements of Saarland University in accordance with the applicable enrolment and admission regulations at the time of enrolment. Subject to the fulfillment of the admission requirements and subject to the availability of study places, the organizer will enroll the participant. However, the participant is responsible for fulfilling and complying with the admission and enrolment requirements and for providing proof thereof. Upon successful enrollment, the participant receives all rights and obligations of students at Saarland University. These obligations include, among other things, that the participant enrols and re-registers each semester on time. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      3. Attendance and submission rules for participants<\/p>

      3.1 ECTS-points und accreditation<\/p>

      ECTS points are awarded as part of the certificates and study programs.<\/span><\/span>ECTS<\/span><\/span>stands for<\/span><\/span>European <\/span>Credit<\/span> Transfer and <\/span>Accumulation<\/span> System<\/span><\/span>– a points system recognized throughout Europe for evaluating the workload of students. One ECTS point generally corresponds to a workload of 30 hours, including attendance time, self-study, preparation and follow-up work as well as project work. The awarding of ECTS points is often linked to the accreditation of the continuing education course. Accreditation means that the course has been reviewed by an independent, professionally recognized body and classified as being of high quality and relevant to educational policy.Crediting to other degree programs is possible within the framework of the respective university regulations.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      3.2 Compulsory participation
      Regular attendance is a central component of the course. If a participant is unable to attend, they should proactively contact the LLCM team as early as possible. Absences of more than one day ( <\/span><\/span>\u2259<\/span><\/span> 6 hours) for<\/span>\u00fc<\/span>will result in the loss of the participation requirements; in this case an interview is required.<\/span>\u00e4<\/span>ch with the LLCM team is required. The courses are not just about content, <\/span>but also about exchange, collaborative learning and networking. Through active participation, participants benefit from the perspectives and experiences of others – and at the same time contribute their own valuable input to the group.       3.3 Deadlines for tasks
      Weekly assignments must be submitted on time according to the deadlines specified in the learning platform. Late or unsubmitted assignments will result in the loss of participation requirements; in this case, a discussion with the LLCM team is required. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      3.4 Obligation to Report Difficulties
      The participant is required to inform the LLCM team in a timely manner of any organizational or content-related difficulties.<\/p>

      4. Learning world plattform<\/p>

      Once the contract has been concluded, the participant will be registered by the organizer on the organizer’s learning world platform. The participant will receive further information about the course shortly before the start of the course. The organizer’s employees are available to answer questions at any time. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      5. Payment of participation fees<\/p>

      The participant is obliged to pay the remuneration for the training and further education offer on time. The remuneration is based on the prices stated in each case. It is exempt from VAT in accordance with \u00a7 4 No. 21, No. 22 UStG. Should the tax exemption cease to apply due to a change in the relevant legal provisions or the opinion of the tax authorities, all prices are subject to the statutory VAT applicable at the due date. Unless otherwise stated, the invoice will be sent as an e-invoice directly to the participant or to the institution on whose account the participant takes part in the training and further education program. Any queries regarding the sending of invoices should be sent to lifecycle[@]scheer-school.com. For payments, the deadlines and instructions stated on the invoice must be observed. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      6. Term, termination, cancellation<\/p>

      6.1 term<\/p>

      The contract for participation in the training program The contract for participation in the training and further education program is concluded for the specified duration. The duration generally depends on the academic degree or qualification sought. It ends automatically at the end of the agreed duration without the need for termination. However, the contract does not end automatically if de-registration occurs for reasons other than obtaining the desired academic degree. <\/span>or the desired qualification. In this case, the parties (organizer and participant) have an extraordinary right of termination. If accredited courses of study are the subject of the training and further education offer, the duration of the contract may be extended at the request of the participant. The organizer shall decide on the application for extension, taking into account the legitimate interests of the participant and the provisions of the Saarland Higher Education Act as amended. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      6.2 termination<\/p>

      The participant’s right to terminate the contract for the training and further education offer prematurely is governed by the following provisions:<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

      1. Ordinary termination of participation in certificate courses is excluded due to the short duration of the certificate courses.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>
      2. Ordinary termination of participation in study programs is possible with a notice period of one month to the end of the quarter.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>
      3. The right of the parties (organizer and participant) to terminate the contract for good cause remains unaffected. An important reason entitling the organizer to extraordinary termination exists in particular if there are facts that would entitle students of Saarland University to cancel their enrolment in accordance with \u00a7 82 SHSG. <\/span>This is particularly the case if participants<\/span> <\/span><\/li><\/ol>
