Master – Application deadline August 31, 2025

Innovative further training for specialists and managers

The Scheer School of Digital Sciences at Saarland University would like to remind interested parties that the application deadline for the Master of Science “Digital Sciences for Transformation” is August 31, 2025. The innovative course starts on October 1, 2025 and is aimed at ambitious specialists and managers who want to actively shape the digital transformation.

Flexible access for academic and non-academic specialists and managers

The flexible admission regulations of the Master’s program are particularly noteworthy: In addition to applicants with a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional experience, candidates with completed vocational training and at least two years of professional experience can also apply. This regulation opens up new career paths for qualified specialists, even if they do not have a first university degree.

“The specialists of the future should not only learn to develop digital technologies, but also to apply them in practice and think ahead,” explains Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer, Honorary President of the Scheer School. The Scheer School is thus responding to the growing demand for specialists with digital skills.

Practice-oriented studies with 120 ECTS credits

The two-year Master’s program comprises 120 ECTS credits and combines academic excellence with practical application. The program costs 7,250 euros per year and can be completed either full-time or part-time. With a modular structure, it allows students to flexibly adapt their studies to their professional commitments.

The course content covers key areas of digital transformation such as artificial intelligence, data science, digital strategy development and agile working methods. Particularly noteworthy is the close integration with practice: the programs are developed in collaboration with industry leaders from industry and the public sector.

International learning environment in the heart of Europe

The Scheer School positions itself as a “center for innovation and transformation in the heart of Europe”. The international learning environment prepares students for a globalized working world and enables them to build valuable networks. The program is taught in English and attracts an international student body.

“The Scheer School of Digital Sciences will offer innovative courses to train the specialists of tomorrow,” emphasizes University President Prof. Dr. Ludger Santen. The aim is not only to teach digital technologies, but also to promote their practical application.

Added value for companies and organizations

Companies benefit directly from the targeted further training of their employees: Practical training unlocks digital innovation potential and boosts their attractiveness as a flexible employer. The Scheer School sees itself as a strategic partner for companies that want to actively shape their digital transformation – with a focus on sustainable skills development in-house.
